Spiral Classifiers / Dewatering Screws

Spiral classifiers separate the fine waste material from the oversized material that needs to be sent back to the regrind circuit for further size reduction in ore processing. They also serve a dual purpose as a dewatering screw, when the amount of water on site is at a premium.

Overview

Product Description

A spiral screw auger can be used as a classifier as well as a dewatering device. During classification, the lighter material floats through to the tailings, while the heavier material rides the spiral to be deposited in another container. MBMM’s spiral classifiers are engineered to provide years of reliable service.

Our USA made machines:

  • are robust in construction
  • have all bearings out of the slurry
  • motor is TEFC
  • are inclined to elevate heavier material to an elevated discharge point
  • can classify up to 5 tons per hour with a 12” auger
